Mara Serena Safari Lodge is praised for its stunning views and the great location in the Mara Triangle. That said, it is vital to know that there are potential shortcoming that guests often highlights in their reviews. These disadvantages or demerits include overcrowding, outdated rooms, and the fact that it is a hotel.
With 74 rooms, the lodge feels busy, especially during the peak season. There is no room for personal services. Mara Serena is also one of the oldest lodges in the Masai Mara and has some outdated rooms, although clean and functional. Finally, it is more of a safari lodge or hotel than a more luxurious tented camp.
